I Like It Like That named finalist for Lambda Literary Award

Finalists for the 2010 Lambda Literary Awards have been announced. I Like It Like That, a collection of erotic fiction edited by Richard Labonté and Lawrence Schimel and featuring the work of Daniel Allen Cox (“Army of Ugly”) has been named a finalist in the Gay Erotica category. Winners will be announced in New York City on May 27.

The Lambda Literary Awards is the most prestigious, competitive, and comprehensive literary award offered specifically to LGBT authors.

Daniel Allen Cox named QWF writing mentor

Daniel Allen Cox, author of the Lambda Award-nominated novel Shuck, has been named as a writing mentor for the 2010 Quebec Writers Federation Mentorship program, the only such English-language program in Quebec. The four-month program is designed to help promising emerging writers make the transition to the next stage of their careers, and will conclude in June with a public reading.

Arsenal Pulp Press acquires world rights to Krakow Melt

Quill & Quire magazine announced on December 4, 2009 that Arsenal Pulp Press has acquires world rights to Krakow Melt, the second novel by Daniel Allen Cox.

Krakow Melt is about pyromaniacs who fight homophobia in a Polish city where nothing is fireproof, while uncovering a Pink Floyd conspiracy theory. Notes from the bisexual underground, and a dragon fable.
